Onstep V5 Lite Directional key control bug fix patch
Problem description:
When using a mobile app or computer for control, the manual control buttons for the east and west direction keys fail, making it impossible to control the motor rotation. The motor can rotate normally during GOTO. The control is normal when using the handle.
Resolvent:
Follow the following tutorial to rewrite the specified firmware.
①Download patch tool
Enter the download center to download the patch tool.
②Set the control box to download mode
Unscrew the screws securing the control box and set the download mode setting switch on the back to the designated position when the power is turned off.
As shown in the figure, set the mode switch on the back to the left position to download firmware for ESP32.
③Flashing firmware
Power on the control box and connect it to the computer using a USB cable. Open the Device Manager and Upgrade Tool (connect the device first, then open the Upgrade Tool), and view the Com port corresponding to Onstep.
Select the corresponding firmware bin file:
No need to use a Hand controller（SHC）, only use the APP, computer or ZWO box to control and select the firmware corresponding to the equatorial instrument version in the SHC-OFF folder.
Need to use a Hand controller（SHC）, and also use an APP, computer, or ZWO box for control. Select the firmware corresponding to the equatorial instrument version in the SHC-ON folder.
As shown in the figure, the EQ3D version has been selected and does not require a Hand controller（SHC）.
Click upload firmware, wait for the progress bar to complete and prompt download completion.
(The download process takes about 10 seconds. If the progress bar finishes within 1 second, it means the download has failed. Please try reconnecting or resetting the download mode switch.)
④Switch back to normal working mode.
Set the mode setting switch to the middle gear, then power off and restart, and the control box enters normal operation mode.
